JAKARTA, INDONESIA -Jakarta's Governor Anies Baswedan's instructions related to
handling air pollution were revised. Where previously the odd-even expansion was only
valid during the dry season, there is now no limit.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Public Relations sent
the DKI Jakarta Governor's (Ingub) Instruction document number 66/2019
regarding Air Quality Control. There was a revision of the Ingub document that
was sent by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Public Relations yesterday.
The revision is in the second point related to the
application of odd-even. Here are the contents of the second point in the Anies
Instruction initial version:
Encouraging citizen participation in air quality control
through the expansion of even odd policies throughout the dry season and
increasing parking fees in areas served by mass public transport starting in
2019, as well as implementing congestion pricing policies related to air
quality control in 2021
Following are the contents of the second point in the
revised Anies Instruction:
Encouraging citizen participation in air quality control
through the expansion of even odd policies and increasing parking fees in areas
served by mass public transportation starting in 2019, as well as the
application of congestion pricing policies that are linked to air quality
control in 2021
The difference is related to the even odd expansion. In the
preliminary document, it was written 'even odd policy expansion throughout the
dry season' while in the revised document, it was written 'even odd policy
expansion'.
